New Issue: Malaysia’s Perdana Petroleum issues RM 635 million sukuk

Morgantown, W.Va., April 29 – Perdana Petroleum Bhd. announced it issued RM 635 million of sukuk on Thursday.

This is the first tranche under the company’s RM 650 million sukuk program guaranteed by Danajamin Nasional Bhd.

The company will use RM 615 million of the proceeds to refinance existing borrowings and the remaining RM 20 million to pay fees for the sukuk program and to prefund a finance reserve account.

Perdana is a Kuala Lumpur-based provider of offshore marine and integrated brownfield services for the upstream oil and gas industry.
