Moody's may lift Pepsi Bottling

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the A3 long-term and Prime-2 short-term ratings of Pepsi Bottling Group on review for upgrade.

The possible upgrade is prompted by the company's growing importance in the Pepsi system, as well as its track record as an independent bottler, according to Moody's.

The review follows continued steady performance at the bottler and improved creditworthiness of PepsiCo, Inc. (Aa2/P-1), the agency said.
