Moody's rates Thomas Jefferson University, Pa., bonds Aaa/VMIG 1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned ratings of Aaa/VMIG 1 to the Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority's revenue bonds (Thomas Jefferson University), including $25 million of series 2008A and $46.935 million of series 2008B.

The rating is based on letters of credit provided by JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA, which is rated Aaa for long-term deposits and P-1 for short-term deposits.

Moody's currently rates the university A1 with a stable outlook.

Sale of the 2008A and 2008B bonds is expected on March 13.
