Fitch: Pemex, CFE views to stable

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the issuer default ratings and revised the outlooks for Pemex (Petroleos Mexicanos) and Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) to stable from negative.

The outlook revisions follow Fitch's revision of Mexico's outlook to stable from negative on Aug. 3. The revision of Mexico's outlook reflects reduced downside risks to the country's growth outlook and expected stabilization of the public debt burden.

Fitch said it believes the risk of a disruptive scenario that could undermine Mexico's export competitiveness and hurt potential growth or jeopardize overseas remittance flows are diminishing.
