Pemex talks dollar benchmark notes due 2028, 2048

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, Feb. 1 – Petroleos Mexicanos SAB de CV announced plans to price two series of new notes with 10-year and 30-year maturities that were talked to yield about 5¾% and 6¾% respectively, according to a market source.

The Rule 144A and Regulation S notes were being priced via bookrunners BNP Paribas, Citigroup, BofA Merrill Lynch and SNBC.

The new notes are part of a multipart refinancing and proceeds will help with repurchases of notes due 2019, 2020, 2044 and 2046.

The tenders expire on Feb. 7.

Pemex is a Mexico City-based oil and gas company.
