S&P rates Pembina Pipeline notes BBB

S&P said it assigned a BBB rating to Pembina Pipeline Corp.'s C$800 million senior unsecured medium-term notes issuance.

The issuance will be issued in two tranches consisting of C$400 million in series 12 medium-term notes due in 2029 and C$400 million in series 13 medium-term notes due in 2049.

The proceeds will be used to repay short-term indebtedness under its credit facilities, fund the company's capital programs and for general corporate purposes, S&P said.

Pembina provides transportation and midstream services for the energy industry in North America, the agency said.

S&P said the BBB long-term issuer credit rating and stable outlook on the company are unchanged.
