Tampa, Fla., April 24 - Pelican Life Sciences has secured $100 million in private equity funding raised through Grotech Capital Group and Ferrer Freeman & Co., LLC.
The funding will be used to acquire companies as well as to make investments in the acquired entities to support product development, streamline manufacturing operations and expand sales and marketing capabilities, according to a news release.
Based in Charlotte, N.C., Pelican's product mix includes microbiology, molecular biology and non-commodity, specialty consumables.
