DTC says it suspends clearing services for Venezuela, PDVSA bonds, then resumes services

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, Aug. 30 – The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. said it would no longer settle certain trades of Venezuela and Petroleos de Venezuela SA bonds, and then reinstated services late Wednesday, according to a market source.

The clearing services firm narrowed its initial guidance and resumed services, the source said, adding that the uncertainty created by the notices didn’t seem to affect trading on Wednesday as pricing was steady to better and volumes were in line with where they had been.
