S&P: PDVSA outlook stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Petroleos de Venezuela SA to stable from negative and affirmed its B+ corporate credit rating.

The outlook revision follows the outlook change on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (BB-/stable/B) to stable from negative.

"The one-notch differential between the issuer and the sovereign rating on Venezuela reflects PDVSA's weaker standalone credit quality due to its tighter liquidity, more aggressive financial policy and continued delays in the release of its financial information," S&P analyst Carolina Duran said in a statement.
