Fitch rates Gallagher notes BBB+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned BBB+ issue-level ratings to new senior unsecured notes issued by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

The ratings are consistent with those on Arthur J. Gallagher’s outstanding senior unsecured notes. Fitch upgraded the ratings to BBB+ from BBB on Oct. 27.

The issuer will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including M&A.

The outlook is stable.
