Citigroup reports 3% stake in Patriot Coal

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 18 - A group of Patriot Coal Corp. investors led by Citigroup Inc. reported a 3% stake in the company following a series of buy and sell transactions between May 16 and July 23.

Citigroup beneficially owns 1,166,714 shares of the St. Louis-based coal mining and exploration company.
