S&P assigns Partner B

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its B long-term and B short-term counterparty credit ratings to Partner Mikrokreditna Organizacija Tuzla.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said that these ratings constitute S&P's first credit ratings on a financial institution in Bosnia and on a MFI in Central and Eastern Europe.

Microfinance is a fast-developing and increasingly important asset class in global emerging markets, the agency noted.
