ART signs GE Healthcare as Japanese distributor of Fenestra imaging contrast products

Charlotte, N.C., July 18 - ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc. formed an agreement with GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences KK, Japan's life sciences unit within GE Healthcare, to act as exclusive distributor in Japan for ART's Fenestra line of molecular imaging contrast products.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"With this agreement, we are looking forward to serving our Japanese life science customers not only for molecular imaging instruments, but also for contrast agents," GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences vice president Kaz Watanabe said in a company news release.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, ART develops products in medical imaging, medical diagnostics, disease research and drug discovery.

GE Healthcare, based in the United Kingdom, specializes in medical imaging and information technologies, medical diagnostics, patient monitoring systems, performance improvement, drug discovery and biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies.

GE Healthcare is a $15 billion unit of General Electric Co.
