PanAmSat $500 million notes talked at 8½% - 8¾%, pricing expected Friday

St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 23 - PanAmSat Corp.'s offering of $500 million senior notes due 2012 (Ba3/B) is expected to come to market at a yield of 8½% - 8¾%, according to price talk that emerged Wednesday, a syndicate source said.

Pricing is expected Friday, the source added.

Credit Suisse First Boston and Deutsche Banc. Alex Brown are joint book runners on the Rule 144A notes.

The securities are non-callable for five years.
