S&P affirms Panama

S&P said it affirmed its BBB/A-2 long- and short-term sovereign credit ratings on the Republic of Panama. The outlook remains stable.

The transfer and convertibility assessment is unchanged at AAA.

“The stable outlook incorporates our expectation of continued good economic growth over the next two years, declining fiscal and external deficits, and a gradually improving regulatory framework for financial institutions,” S&P said in a news release.
