Moody’s rates Pakistan notes B3

Moody’s Investors Service said it rated Pakistan’s foreign currency senior unsecured program (P)B3 and rated the senior unsecured dollar-denominated notes issued under the program with maturities of five, 10 and 30 years B3.

The proceeds from the issues will be used for general budgetary purposes.

Moody’s said Pakistan's B3 rating is underpinned by the country’s robust long-term growth potential, a relatively large but low-income economy and a stable banking sector.
