MidAmerican Energy, units set plans for 2010, 2011 debt offerings

Knoxville, Tenn., March 30 - MidAmerican Energy Co. announced its 2010-2011 financing plans, noting the parent company will issue additional debt if "additional wind generation capital expenditures are economic."

PacifiCorp expects a debt issuance in 2011 to refinance in part its $500 million in debt that matures in November 2011.

Northern Natural Gas will also issue debt in 2011 to refinance in part its $250 million in debt that matures in June 2011.

And Electric Transmission Texas, LLC has already issued $225 million of debt in early 2010 and plans additional debt issues for later in 2010 and 2011.

Yorkshire Electricity and Northern Electric plan to issue debt in 2010 and 2011 to support distribution business growth.

The utility is based in Des Moines.
