S&P affirms MidAmerican Energy

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co. and subsidiaries PacifiCorp, MidAmerican Energy Co. and gas pipelines Northern Natural Gas Co. and Kern River Gas Transmission Co. Ratings remain on CreditWatch with negative implications.

The affirmation follows the announcement by MidAmerican and Constellation Energy Group (BBB/Watch negative/A-2) that MidAmerican's $4.7 billion acquisition of Constellation has been terminated, according to the agency.
