Pacific Gas and Electric files automatic shelf covering senior notes

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 23 - Pacific Gas and Electric Co. filed a senior notes automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company will describe in a prospectus supplement how it plans to use the proceeds from the notes.

The utility is based in San Francisco.
