Ownit agrees to one-month exclusivity extension to allow claims review

Pittsburgh, June 5 - Ownit Mortgage Solutions, Inc.'s exclusive plan of reorganization filing and solicitation periods were extended one month under an agreement with the company's official committee of unsecured creditors and the U.S. Trustee, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

The exclusive plan-filing period was extended to June 27 from May 25, and the solicitation period was extended to Aug. 29 from July 26.

Ownit said the extension will allow the parties to review claims filed against the estate before the plan is filed.

Ownit, an Agoura Hills, Calif., mortgage lender, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 28. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-12579.
