Ownit Mortgage agrees to two-week extension of exclusive plan filing period

Pittsburgh, May 15 - Ownit Mortgage Solutions, Inc. and its official committee of unsecured creditors agreed on a short extension of the company's exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

Subject to court approval, Ownit's exclusive plan-filing period will be extended to May 25 from May 11 and the solicitation period to July 26 from June 26.

Ownit, an Agoura Hills, Calif., mortgage lender, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 28. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-12579.
