Harbert reports becoming substantial holder of Owens Corning stock

Houston, March 24 - Harbert Distressed Investment Master Fund, Ltd. is now a substantial holder of Owens Corning stock, according to a Wednesday court filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Harbert Distressed Investment Master, along with HMC Distressed Investment Offshore Manager, LLC and HMC Investors, LLC, reported owning 5.525 million shares as of March 18, making it a substantial equityholder.

Owens Corning, a Toledo, Ohio, building materials company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 5, 2000. Its Chapter 11 case number is 00-3837.
