Plainfield Special Situations, Deutsche Bank Securities buy $20.71 million claims against Owens Corning

Pittsburgh, Dec. 7 - Plainfield Special Situations Master Fund Ltd. bought two claims against Owens Corning totaling $8.49 million from Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. and Deutsche Bank Securities bought Standard Chartered Bank's $12.22 million claim against the company, according to Tuesday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Owens Corning, a Toledo, Ohio, building materials company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 5, 2000. Its Chapter 11 case number is 00-3837.
