Overseas Shipholding operating loss grows to $3.29 million in April

Pittsburgh, July 1 - Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. reported a $3.29 million operating loss for April on $70.59 million in shipping revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The figures showed a decline from the $656,000 operating loss posted for March on $80.41 million in shipping revenues.

The company had $564.81 million in cash and cash equivalents as of April 30, up from $556.62 million at the end of March.

Overseas Shipholding, a New York-based tanker company, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 14, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-20000.
