Overseas Shipholding records $3.67 million operating loss for December

Pittsburgh, Feb. 15 - Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. reported a $3.67 million operating loss for December on $18.34 million in shipping revenues and $90 million in voyage charter revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Feb. 15 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In comparison, Overseas Shipholding posted a $4.53 million operating loss for the period of Nov. 14 through Nov. 30 on $8.49 million in shipping revenues and $47.15 million in voyage charter revenues.

The company had $477.97 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Dec. 31, down from $487.63 million at Nov. 30.

Overseas Shipholding, a New York-based tanker company, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 14. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-20000.
