Fitch lifts Ostrow Wielkopolski

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded the Polish City of Ostrow Wielkopolski's national rating to A-(pol) from BBB+(pol).

The outlook is now stable.

The agency said that the upgrade is based on the city's continued sound budgetary performance, moderate debt level and improving prospects for local development due to investments in the transportation system.

However, the rating also takes into account the city's relatively weak local economy and still high unemployment, Fitch added.
