Arqiva to retire £600 million 9½% notes due 2020 via refinancing

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Sept. 10 – Arqiva Broadcast Finance plc issued a refinancing notice for its £600 million of 9½% notes due 2020.

Arqiva Broadcast Parent Ltd. and its subsidiaries group plans to refinance the issue to extend its debt maturities and to lower its financing costs, according to the notice.

The refinancing is contingent on completion of a marketing process to assess market conditions, the release added.

The company said on Oct. 23 that it planned to redeem its £600 million of outstanding junior notes on March 8 using proceeds from a £1.5 billion initial public offering to be listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Arqiva is a Winchester, England-based provider of broadcast infrastructure.
