JMP reiterates Oscient at market outperform

Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corp. was reiterated at market outperform by JMP Securities analyst Michelle Lange. The weekly tracking of Factive and Testim (Auxilium Pharmaceuticals) prescription volumes using NDC Health data continues. For the week ending May 26, Factive total prescriptions were 6,004 (5,874 new), or 0.92% of weekly prescriptions for the quinolone class of antibiotics, compared with 6,030 total prescriptions (5,847 new) in the previous week, or 0.95% of weekly prescriptions from the quinolone class. Approximately 45,590 Factive prescriptions have been written in the second quarter generating about $4.0 million in revenue. Total Testim scripts for the week ending May 26 were 5,912 compared with 5,523 for the previous week. Shares of the Waltham, Mass.-based biopharmaceutical company were down $0.01, or 0.81%, at $1.23 on volume of 118,152 shares versus the three-month running average of 461,531shares. (Nasdaq: OSCI)
