Moody's rates ORIX notes A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 rating to ORIX Corp.'s $500 million senior unsecured notes due Jan 16, 2024.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect an expectation that ORIX will sustain its improved liquidity and capital adequacy, Moody's said.

The rating also is supported by ORIX's strong profitability and sound asset quality, along with a high degree of business diversification with its activities spread across six distinct business segments and 38 countries, the agency said.

While such diversification creates challenges for ORIX, its risk management has been effective, Moody's added.
