Moody's rates ORIX bonds A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 rating to ORIX Corp.'s $500 million dollar-denominated senior unsecured bonds due 2017.

The outlook is negative.

The ratings reflect the company's diverse lines of business, which have contributed to effective risk management in avoiding losses, even during the 2008 to 2009 financial crisis, Moody's said.

The ratings also consider its established and strong franchise in domestic-maintenance leasing, the agency said.
