Oregon Health and Science mulling refinancing options in 2009A bonds

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 24 – Oregon Health and Science University is evaluating options to refinance all or some of its revenue bonds, series 2009A, according to a notice.

Any refinancing will depend on a variety of factors, including market conditions, interest rates on the bonds and availability and cost of refinancing arrangements.

The university said it does not anticipate any refinancing would occur before calendar year 2017, although market conditions and other factors will affect the timing of any such refinancing.

The bonds may be refinanced with cash, proceeds of refunding revenue bonds or through other means, or the university may decide to leave the bonds outstanding.
