S&P rates Oregon veterans welfare bonds AA

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an AA rating to the Oregon's series 90A (fixed-rate) and 90B (variable-rate) veteran's welfare bonds and affirmed its AA rating on the state's outstanding general obligation debt. The outlook is stable.

The $38.885 million variable-rate bonds are due Dec. 1, 2045. The $11.115 million fixed-rate bonds are due Dec. 1, 2023.
