Orchard Supply marks $2.85 million operating loss for July 7-Aug. 3

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 16 - Orchard Supply Hardware Stores Corp. reported a $2.85 million operating loss for the period of June 17 to July 6 on $46.89 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

This compares to an operating loss of $8.8 million for the period of June 17 to July 6 on $38.72 million in revenues.

The company had a net loss for the period of $6.24 million, compared to a net loss of $11.08 for the prior reporting period.

The company had $5.11 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Aug. 3, compared to $15.35 million as of July 6.

Orchard Supply, a San Jose, Calif.-based hardware retailer, filed for bankruptcy on June 17 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 13-11565.
