Orange County notifies series 2000 COP holders of mandatory tender

By Ashley Montgomery

Kansas City, Kan., Aug. 10 - Orange County Sanitation District notified holders that its series 2000-A and 2000-B refunding certificates of participation are subject to mandatory tender, according to a notice.

The $42.7 million 2000-A certificates and $49.2 million 2000-B certificates will be purchased on Aug. 17 at par plus accrued interest to the purchase date.

The mandatory tender is a result of the Aug. 24 expiration of the district's standby certificate purchase agreement with Lloyds TSB Bank plc.

The district said it plans to fund the purchase with proceeds from its series 2012B wastewater refunding revenue obligations.

U.S. Bank, NA is the trustee.
