Oragenics to form international advisory committee

Erie, Pa., Feb. 27 - Oragenics, Inc. said it has created an international advisory committee to help direct is planning.

Dr. Raman Bedi, the company's senior consultant and chair, has enlisted three experts in oral health to be on the group. They are Dr. Brian Mouatt, chair of the FDI World Dental development committee; Dr. Ayyaz Khan of the Shaikh Zayed Medical Institute in Pakistan; and Dr. Hari Parkash of the ITS Center, dental studies and research in India.

"I am delighted that these three world class researchers are joining the International Advisory Committee," Bedi said in a company news release. "They each bring a wealth of experience and understanding of global dental policy which will help us shape Oragenics' strategic plans."

The move was disclosed in a letter to shareholders from president and chief executive officer Dr. Robert Zahradnik, which also outlined plans for the company for the remainder of 2006.

"Oragenics will continue to build momentum toward licensing and commercialization of its lead products, SMaRT replacement therapy, MU1140 antibiotic, and Probiora-3 probiotic by focusing its resources on these development programs and the initiation of clinical trials," Zahradnik said in the release.

Oragenics, located in Alachua, Fla., develops novel technologies to address unmet medical needs.
