Oracle holds subsequent offer for Hyperion shares

Charlotte, N.C., April 13 - Oracle Corp. said Hyperion Solutions Corp. shareholders tendered approximately 55.4 million shares, or 91.7% of the shares outstanding, in the tender offer that expired on April 13.

A subsequent offering for all remaining Hyperion shares ends on April 18, according to a company news release.

Following the subsequent offering period, Oracle will acquire all of the remaining outstanding shares of Hyperion in a merger making Hyperion a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oracle.

On March 1, Oracle announced it would acquire Hyperion for $52 per share in a cash transaction valued at about $3.3 billion.

Oracle is an enterprise software company located in Redwood Shores, Calif.

Hyperion is a business performance management software company based in Santa Clara, Calif.
