Opus South seeks exclusivity extension to continue managing debtors

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., Aug. 21 - Opus South Corp. requested an extension to its exclusive periods to file a Chapter 11 plan and to solicit votes on the plan, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend the exclusive plan-filing period by 120 days to Dec. 18 and the solicitation period by the same amount of time to Feb. 16.

Opus South said it is serving as the management company for all of its debtors and has been assisting them in consummating various transactions.

The company also said it needs to keep its options available to file a Chapter 11 plan until all of its other debtors have finalized their Chapter 11 cases.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 9.

Opus is an Atlanta-based design-build development firm. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-11390.
