Moody’s changes Ontario Electricity to negative
Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlook on Ontario Electricity Financial Corp. (OEFC) to negative from stable and affirmed its senior unsecured ratings at Aa2.
The action follows the April 17 change in outlook to negative from stable on Ontario's issuer and long-term debt ratings of Aa2.
"The rating action on the OEFC reflects the recent action taken on the Province of Ontario which guarantees OEFC's rated debt," Moody’s vice president, senior credit officer Gavin MacFarlane said in a news release.
