Oneida records $4.21 million operating loss for March 19 to April 29

Pittsburgh, May 16 - Oneida Ltd. posted a $4.21 million operating loss for the period of March 19 to April 29 on net sales of $28.02 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The net loss for the month was also $4.21 million.

The company reported negative cash and cash equivalents of $442,264 at April 29.

Oneida, an Oneida, N.Y.-based maker of flatware, dinnerware, crystal and metal serving pieces, filed for bankruptcy on April 2. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10489.
