Oneida reports $3.87 million net loss for June 25 to July 29

Pittsburgh, Aug. 24 - Oneida Ltd. reported a $3.87 million net loss for the period of June 25 to July 29 on $19.06 million of net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

For the period of May 28 to June 24, the company posted a $2.86 million net loss on $15.39 million in net sales.

Cash on July 29 was $1.67 million, compared with negative cash of $1.18 million the month before.

Oneida, an Oneida, N.Y.-based maker of flatware, dinnerware, crystal and metal serving pieces, filed for bankruptcy on April 2. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10489.
