OnCure seeks 90-day extension of exclusive periods to ensure emergence

By Jim Witters

Wilmington, Del., Oct. 15 - OnCure Holdings, Inc. is seeking a 90-day extension of its exclusive periods for filing a Chapter 11 plan and for soliciting plan acceptances, according to an Oct. 11 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, OnCure received confirmation of its Chapter 11 plan of reorganization on Oct. 3.

"The debtors have devoted substantial time and effort to reorganizing their businesses and pursuing a transaction with the investor that will maximize the value of the debtors' estates. Although the plan has been filed and confirmed, the effective date has not occurred and may not occur prior to the end of the current exclusive filing period.

"Accordingly, the debtors request the extension of the exclusive periods, and believe cause exists to grant the request, to ensure a successful emergence from bankruptcy without the distraction of competing, third-party Chapter 11 plans," the filing states.

OnCure is seeking to extend the exclusive period for filing a plan through Jan. 13 from Oct. 15 and the exclusive period for soliciting votes through March 11 from Dec. 11.

A hearing on the request is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET on Nov. 7.

OnCure is an Englewood, Colo.-based provider of business management services and medical equipment to oncology physician groups that treat cancer patients. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-11540.
