Moody's gives Arlington County, Va., bonds Aaa rating

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aaa rating and stable outlook to Arlington County, Va.'s $111.185 million general obligation public improvement bonds, series 2008.

Sale of the bonds is expected on June 15.

Concurrently, Moody's affirmed the Aaa rating and stable outlook on approximately $636 million in outstanding parity debt.

The current issue will fund capital projects for the county general government, school board and utility system, the agency said.
