Oncolytics gets Canadian patent for method of producing, extracting infectious reovirus

Washington, Jan. 26 - Oncolytics Biotech Inc. said Thursday it has been granted Canadian Patent 2,437,962 entitled "Method of Extracting Virus from Cell Culture."

The patent describes methods of producing and extracting infectious reovirus from a culture of cells.

Oncolytics is a Calgary, Alta., biotechnology company focused on the development of oncolytic viruses as potential cancer therapeutics.
