Moody's rates Omsk Ba2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned global scale local- and foreign-currency ratings of Ba2 to the Oblast of Omsk, and affirmed its Aa2.ru national scale rating.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings are supported by favorable socio-economic indicators and the current prudent budget policy of the regional authorities, Moody's said.

The government has proved its ability to manage the initial shock of departure of its key taxpayer without a significant increase in debt burden, the agency added.
