Arlington Asset plans at-the-market equity sale of 1.75 million shares

Deal inked with RBC Capital, JMP Securities, Ladenburg Thalmann, MLV

Knoxville, Tenn., May 24 - Arlington Asset Investment Corp. arranged an at-the-market equity offering with RBC Capital Markets, LLC, JMP Securities LLC, Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. and MLV & Co. LLC, according to a prospectus supplement filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The deal will sell 1.75 million class A common shares.

The stock is to be sold on a commercially reasonable efforts basis.

Each agent will be paid a 1.5% commission.

Proceeds will be used for new investments, debt repayment and other general corporate purposes.

Arlington Asset is an Arlington, Va.-based investor in mortgage-backed securities.
