Adobe Systems' $21.50-per-share tender offer for Omniture ends Oct. 22

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 24 - Adobe Systems Inc. subsidiary Snowbird Acquisition Corp. began a $21.50-per-share tender offer for all of the outstanding shares of Omniture, Inc.

The offer will end at midnight ET on Oct. 22 unless extended, according to an Adobe news release.

Adobe said that once the offer is complete, it will acquire any remaining Omniture shares in a second-step merger.

As previously reported, Omniture agreed to be acquired by Adobe in a transaction valued at approximately $1.8 billion.

Adobe, a San Jose, Calif., business and mobile software and services company, expects to close the transaction in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Based in Orem, Utah, Omniture develops online business optimization software.
