Adobe's proposed acquisition of Omniture clears waiting period hurdle

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 6 - The Federal Trade Commission granted early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period in the pending merger of Adobe Systems Inc. and Omniture, Inc., it was announced on Tuesday.

As previously reported, Omniture agreed in September to be acquired by Adobe, a San Jose, Calif., business and mobile software and services company, in a transaction valued at approximately $1.8 billion.

Adobe's $21.50-per-share tender offer for all of the outstanding shares of Omniture ends at midnight ET on Oct. 22.

Omniture develops online business optimization software. The company is based in Orem, Utah.
