Fitch gives Omnicom notes A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A- to Omnicom Group's proposed issue of $750 million senior notes.

Fitch said it also affirms the following existing ratings, including the issuer default rating at A- and senior unsecured notes A- as well as Omnicom Finance, Inc.'s bank credit facilities at A- and commercial paper at F2.

Fitch noted that the ratings reflect Omnicom's position as a leading global advertising agency holding company, the company's consistent operating performance, which is supported by solid net new business wins and its stable credit profile.

These strengths are balanced by risks associated with further migration of advertising away from traditional, mass-media approaches, event risk associated primarily with potential revisions to financial strategy and policies and risks associated with cyclical fluctuations of advertising expenditures, the agency added.
