S&P rates Omnicom

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A- rating to Omnicom Group Inc.'s $2 billion credit facilities. The new credit agreements replace Omnicom's former $2.035 billion credit facilities.

Omnicom's A- long-term and A-2 short-term corporate credit ratings are affirmed.

The outlook is stable.

S&P said the rating on Omnicom reflects the company's strong position among the top three worldwide advertising agency holding companies, good geographic and business diversity, and sustained discretionary cash flow, notwithstanding challenges in the advertising and marketing services environment in the last three years.

These factors are partially offset by acquisition activity that contributed to higher debt levels and potentially sizeable short-term debt maturities.
