Omnicom files shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., March 18 - Omnicom Group Inc. filed a shelf registration for an unspecified amount in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, warrants, debt securities, which may be offered by subsidiaries, guarantees of debt securities and subscription rights.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Omnicom is a New York marketing and corporate communications company.
